They are NXDN analogue digital repeater stations designed for professional use operating in the VHF (IC-FR5300) and UHF (IC-FR6300) bands.
They have 32 memory channels that can be viewed directly on the 12-character alphanumeric display backlit with amber light.
Furthermore, the 5 programmable buttons and the large internal loudspeaker located on the front allow the devices to be used as simple base stations or to control activities with extreme simplicity.
The IC-FR5300 and IC-FR6300 are second generation IDAS repeater stations, using a new CPU/FPGA platform.
This series offers digital simulcast system capabilities and high frequency stability of 0.1ppm with a 1pps reference signal from the GNSS antenna.
The system scalability of the IC-FR5300/IC-FR6300 series can be easily upgraded by installing the optional UC-FR5300 network card and the software provided with the card.
Depending on communication density, coverage and your needs, the radio system can be expanded from a single site to a simulcast system or a multi-site trunking system.
Repeater stations have a D-SUB 25pin accessory connector.
Of note is the possibility of installing two RF modules within a single chassis.
In fact, the devices have an internal space for the installation of a second RF unit.
The two RF modules can be installed and managed independently and the LEDs on the front panel show the status of both channels.
Another important feature is the mixed digital/analog mode.
The IC-FR5300/IC-FR6300 series can receive both analog and digital modes on one channel and transmit both modes depending on the programming.
Decode multiple codes; CTCSS and DTCS, as well as digital RAN (Radio Access Number) codes per channel (up to 16 tones/codes) and downlink of the received signal with a specified tone/code.
We also point out that these repeater stations, through the optional UC-FR5300 network card, can be connected to an IP network.
It will thus be possible to create a multi-site IP network which, thanks to the standard protocol SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) and Suslog (System Log) can be managed and controlled remotely.
They are designed and built according to the highest Icom standards and have passed the strictest resistance tests up to obtaining the MIL-STD 810G certification.
