IC-SAT100M

The IC-SAT100M belongs to the new generation of Icom two-way PTT (Push-to-Talk) satellite devices. Compatible with the Iridium® Low Earth Orbit (LEO) global network, this new two-way radio for mobile or fixed satellite use, is the only Professional Mobile Radio (PMR) able to offer real-time communications, between closed groups of users, each of which can be found anywhere on the planet, including the poles.

The IC-SAT100M is made up of three basic components; the Main Unit, the Commandmic and the RF unit, which allow it to be used in vehicles or as a base station.

The extremely compact main unit can be placed anywhere. Powered with a voltage between 13.2V/26.4V DC, it is equipped with an RJ45 Ethernet LAN socket and D Sub accessory connector.
The Commandmic equipped with a large high visibility display and backlit function keys allows the use of the SAT-100M even in low light conditions.
The combined use of the navigation keys and the function keys guarantees quick access to all the foreseen functions and use of the device in a simple and intuitive way.
The Commandmic is also equipped with an orange button for use in emergency situations. Pressing this key will send an emergency call to a preset number of users.
The RF unit with integrated antenna and a degree of protection equal to IP67 is the optimal solution for outdoor installation.
The main unit and the RF unit can be connected to each other via a LAN network cable (cat.5e) up to a maximum distance of 100 meters with PoE power supply capability.
Using the VE-PG4 RoIP gateway it will be possible to interconnect the IC-SAT100M with LTE devices, VoIP telephones, digital and analog IDAS transceivers.
The IC-SAT-100M is undoubtedly an extremely versatile Push To Talk satellite device.

Vehicle use
By connecting the RF unit with integrated antenna on the roof it is possible to use the IC-SAT100M as a vehicle radio. Bluetooth® capability (requires optional VS-3 microphone/headset) allows for hands-free operation while driving.

It is also possible to replace the RF unit positioned on the roof of the vehicle with the AH-40 antenna with low visibility magnetic base.

Basic use
It will be sufficient to place the IC-SAT-100M inside the building and connect it to the external antenna via a LAN cable (100 m max.)

The IC-SAT100M has been designed to ensure maximum reliability even in extreme conditions –30°C to +60°C.
It complies with MIL-STD 810G specifications with a waterproof rating of: IP67 for the RF unit, IP55 for the Commandmic and IP54 for the main unit.

Other features include the built-in clock, the Bluetooth® function and the ability to send individual or group messages.
