FEATURES
The IC-SAT100 belongs to the new generation of Icom two-way PTT (Push-to-Talk) Satellite devices. Compatible with the Iridium® Low Earth Orbit (LEO) global network, this new portable satellite radio transceiver is the only Professional Mobile Radio (PMR) capable of offering real-time communication between closed user groups, each of which can be anywhere on the planet, including the poles. The device is characterized by the large high-brightness display which allows clear and well-defined reading of the characters and icons.
The intuitive user interface and the combined use of the directional keys and the backlit function keys guarantee simple and immediate use of the device.
Furthermore, in emergency situations by pressing the orange key located on the upper panel of the apparatus it is possible to send emergency calls to pre-set users with extreme ease and speed.
Unlike satellite phones, with the IC-SAT100 you can make single or group calls by simply pressing the transmission button (PTT) and its use is unlimited with no additional call costs.
Communications take place in real time thanks to the 66 LEO (Low Earth Orbit) Iridium® satellites and if the connection with a satellite were lost, it would be re-established in less than a minute.
The IC-SAT100 has been designed to ensure maximum reliability even in extreme conditions.
Compliant with MIL-STD 810G specifications with a waterproof rating of IP67, it can be used in environments with temperatures ranging from –30°C to +60°C.
Using the BC-247 Docking Station combined with the AH-40 magnetic antenna and the HM-222H speaker microphone, it is possible to use the IC-SAT100 as a vehicle or base station.
Using the VE-PG4 RoIP gateway, it will be possible to interconnect the IC-SAT100 with LTE devices, VoIP telephones, digital and analog IDAS transceivers.
Other features include integrated Bluetooth®, the Voice Recorder function for voice recording of the last calls and the ability to send individual or group messages.
